MEGHAN WAGG DESIGNS
My present work consists of both jewellery and tableware.
I focus my designs around simple, smooth geometric
shapes, and like my work to have a solid presence and clean
lines. I’m intrigued by the anatomical complexities of the
human body and enjoy combining these organic shapes
with geometric forms. I work mainly in silver, incorporating
plastics and resins, which create a contrasting surface
within the piece and add an element of color.
I realized my love for metal while completing a Bachelor
of Fine Art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design,
majoring in Jewellery and Metalsmithing. After graduating
in 2003, I worked in and out of the jewellery field before
settling in Edmonton, Alberta, in 2006, where I apprenticed
with Wayne Mackenzie at Electrum Design Studio until 2010.
